Designing the Monsoon Collection
From initial sketches to final fabrics: a peek into our creative process.
Our upcoming Monsoon Collection was inspired by the lush, rain-washed landscapes of Kerala. The design process began months ago with mood boards filled with deep greens, earthy browns, and the striking silhouettes of palm leaves.
Translating these inspirations into block prints involves a collaborative dance between our designers and the master carvers. We went through six iterations of the 'Raindrop' motif before achieving the perfect balance of negative space and pattern. Seeing the first strike-off of the fabric emerging from the dye vat is a feeling that never gets old.
